Dear Community,
EPE has always been rooted in the power of Acapella music to strengthen our churches, uplift our community, and provide a platform for the youth to shine. Our mission extends beyond music; it serves as a tool for evangelism and a way to proclaim our presence in the community. However, as times and financial landscapes have evolved since Curtis McCullough founded Sing-A-Rama in the 1980s, so too must our approach to sustaining EPE.
To continue our work, it is essential for every church leader to allow their congregation to be financially involved. The cost of organizing such an event is significant, and it's challenging for a single church to shoulder that burden alone when all our congregations directly and indirectly benefit from EPE's offerings. This financial structure not only supports our events but also can strengthen the ties within our communities. We are grateful that this model has been effective for the past 15 years. Still, there's more to do.
EPE is also committed to growth. We have established ourselves as a registered 501(c)(3) organization to better serve our churches and the communities they inhabit. In 2026, we will offer classes designed to provide valuable knowledge in a supportive environment for individuals of all ages. These classes will address pressing issues such as elder abuse, dementia care, security hacking, sex trafficking, and the importance of understanding legislative actions beyond what's presented in the media. Our motto is to empower the kingdom one note, one melody, and one song at a time, and this can also extend to community empowerment—one person, one family, and one city at a time. As we will attempt to use EPE's 501 (c)(3) to obtain grants, that can assist with continuing our scholarship fund, etc.. Be reminded the bible instructs US to go into all ye land (Mark 16:15)
As the visionary behind EPE, I remind us of Ephesians 6:9: "Let us not grow weary in well-doing; for in due season, we shall reap, if we faint not." This reflects our responsibility to do good for all men, especially those of the household of faith. While 15 years is a commendable milestone, impactful initiatives often endure. EPE is built on a sturdy foundation and is intended to be a vibrant ministry that has garnered national attention. My commitment to this vision is unwavering, as it is not for me, but for all of us—your congregation, church leaders, and our collective community.
EPE still requires support and is in its first phase of development. We seek financial commitments; even a contribution of just $10 a month for 10 weeks amounts to $100. If 10 individuals commit to this, that's $1,000. If we can engage 200 people from our average attendance of 700 each night, we will be significantly closer to realizing our goals.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to past groups and ministries that have recognized our needs and contributed to the rebuilding of our community. Like you, I understand that the work can be challenging, but I remain steadfast in God's promises.
It has been a joy to witness the progress of EPE and to see the smiles, handshakes, and tears of joy from those who attend our events. I hope you will find it in your plans to continue supporting this cause.
In His name and under His guidance,
Darron Jones
